We are pleased to offer the entire former plant equipment from Yakima Brewing & Malting Company, maker of Bert Grant's ales, which operated until 2005. This is a virtually complete 40 barrel production brewery with 25,000-30,000 barrels of annual capacity. The plant features a traditional solid copper, direct fired 40 barrel brew kettle built by master coppersmiths Vendome Copper & Brass Works of Louisville, KY. The fermentation cellar is well stocked with  850+ bbls of Mueller cylindroconical fermenters of 40 to 120 barrels capacity.  THIS OFFERING IS FOR THE EQUIPMENT ONLY, NOT THE FACILITY IN PLACE.

First choice will be accorded inquiries seeking a combined Brewhouse and Cellar equipment package. The packaging line will be offered separately and includes a tunnel pasteurizer and bottle CO2 pre-purger. Inspection may be arranged at the plant in Yakima, WA by appointment. Sales of cellar tanks separately will be subordinate to the sale of any brewhouse and cellar combination.

Bert Grant (1928-2001) was a Northwest brewing icon who launched the first successful microbrewery in the Pacific Northwest.
His influence on the craft brewing industry has been sweeping, and he was the brewing renaissance pioneer of highly hopped beers including Grant's Scottish Ale and Grant's India Pale Ale that were the inspiration for most of today's popular highly hopped beers.
