SCHILPP 20/5 FILLER CROWNER (Krones)

This is a 1972 Schilpp long tube filler crowner, built 1972. This is super clean 100 BPM+ long tube filler crowner. The photos speak to the condition of the machine. Included are change parts for 0.33L Vichy and 0.5 L Euro bottles. The 0.33L Vichy is the same diameter as the US Long neck 12 oz, which will run on this machine with only minor adjustments.

Background: The Schilpp firm was bought out by Krones in the 1970s--this is how Krones got into the filler business. Machines from the years following the takeover by Krones had the logo Krones/Schilpp on them, owning to the fine reputation of the Schilpp firms and it's machines. The design is very similar to machines that were built by Holdefleiss and later Pirzer in Germany, which were also designed by Mr. Schilpp before he started his own company. All are rock solid beer fillers using simple long tube filling technology.

This filler is a pre-Krones one, impeccably maintained.  The machine is available at a very reasonable cost (far less than a comparable speed machine with pre-evacuation). In the hands of skilled operators, this machine is capable of filling to excellent  D/O standards, many claim comparable to pre-evac. machines but with a lot less complexity.
